Lygia

Lygia is a small traditional of about 350 people and it is only five Km. aeay from the hotel Lintzi.

The nice historical monastery of Panagia Eleousa is close to the village, built in a dep green canyon by the monastery there is a cave with stalactites and the water that pours out is regarded to be Holy.

The monastery was built in the 9th century and was foumd there and later the name "Eleousa" was added, begginig this way for the protection of the nearby population that lived in the area hidden from the sea and the dangerous pirates.

The monastery holds a celebration of the 31th August.
